Tampa Psychic/Fortune Teller So Accurate – Gets Super Bowl Outcome Within One Point!

Monday, February 6th, 2012

In case you missed it, one week ago today, I predicted the outcome of the 2012 Super Bowl.

Probably like most of you, I didn’t get to watch the game, but this morning I see that the Giants won by four.

I had predicted a Giants victory by three.

Not too shabby!

Perhaps that’s the kind of fun and accuracy you want when you book entertainment (fun, upbeat Tarot, palm and/or runes readings) for your home party, corporate event, or college function!

Have a fun day!

So how do people get entertainment for parties and special events?

  • You can pay an agent, party/event planner, total entertainment company, or other middleman a commission on each entertainer they hire for you. Even if they refer to “our face painters” or “our balloon artists,” they are charging you to hire someone. Sometimes even the person answering the phone is getting a cut, and only being paid if you book the party or event! Of course, in this modern Internet Age, you could hire entertainers yourself and NOT pay commissions. Wouldn’t it be funny if a middleman hired US for you, when you could have booked us yourself without paying a commission? It happens!!!
  • You can spend time hiring entertainers yourself. By cutting out the middleman, you save the commissions. But you still pay full price for each entertainer if you’re hiring more than one, such as a balloon artist AND a face painter.
  • We can provide your event entertainment, and give you a DISCOUNT for combining entertainers. You save money because WE’RE the professional entertainers. And you can read our testimonials and/or see us in action at one of our weekly open-to-the-public appearances (click here for days, times and locations) to check out the quality of our entertainment!

Oh No! More Plagiarism by Tampa Balloon Artist in St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Lutz, Land O Lakes, Wesley Chapel, New Port Richey Area

Tuesday, January 10th, 2012

Another local entertainer keeps stealing my (Tony the Balloon Guy’s) blog posts!

Not just the titles – you can’t copyright titles. I’m talking about the actual essays! Just changing a few words around, and then posting it as his own work.

This is worse than when I find other people put pictures of MY balloon creations on THEIR websites!

The first copied blog entry I noticed was The “Original” Balloon Guy, which I posted on December 16th, and this other person posted one week later.

The next was Why Have a Fortune Teller at a Party, which I posted on December 16th, 2011, and he posted on January 11, 2012.

Even though this is illegal behavior, it doesn’t seem worth the trouble of getting a lawyer or anything like that. It’s just sad that someone in a creative business has to steal other people’s work to try to promote himself.

The Name Game: Tony the Balloon Guy

Friday, January 6th, 2012

Batman’s name comes from the creature he thought would strike fear into the hearts of criminals. Spider-Man’s name came from a radioactive spider that bit Peter Parker. And Superman? Well, he’s just super!

Where does “Tony the Balloon Guy” come from?

Years ago, when dinosaurs still roamed the planet, I did balloon entertainment for the summertime tourists at Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach.

One day, a girl around nine years old saw me, and was so excited at the idea of getting a balloon, she could only sputter, “Look! It’s… the… the… the GUY!”

Her family teased her, and they returned every day that week to get something else made of balloons. Every time I saw her, we laughed about that first day, and I gradually changed from being “the guy” to being “the balloon guy” to being “Tony the Balloon Guy.”

Of course, if you search for “balloon guy” on Google, you’ll see there are thousands of people using that name all over the world, but I didn’t know that then. I didn’t even know until a few years later that there was a magician in my area that had used that moniker since the Reagan years.

Anyway, for those of you who thought my last name was actually “The Balloon Guy,” that’s the lowdown.

By the way, more than a thousand families like yours have invited our family business to celebrate birthdays with them. We are also a favorite at school, church, company and corporate events, including fairs, festivals, holiday parties and grand openings.

What can we do for YOU?

At special events throughout the Tampa Bay area and Central Florida, we provide:

Please click on the activities above for information and pictures. Then pick one, or mix and match to create a package and SAVE MONEY!

Be sure to get our quote before you book entertainment for your event!

Have a fun day!

Familiar Refrain (Tampa Bay area – Gibsonton-Temple Terrace-Thonotosassa-Dade City – balloon artist/twister for special event and birthday party entertainment)

Thursday, January 5th, 2012

Last night, doing balloons at a restaurant, I (Tony the Balloon Guy) heard, once again, “We’ve decided you’re the best balloon person there is, and we’ve seen A LOT of people do this!”

That always means a lot to me, and I appreciate folks saying it.

I also appreciated another guy telling me last night, “What I like about watching you is that you’re such an entertainer. We’re entertainers, too (they were musicians), and we know what that takes.”

Kind folks last night!!!

:-)

Another Happy Old Year for Tony the Balloon Guy and Face Painter Phyllis, Another “Happy New Year” to You!

Saturday, December 31st, 2011

Well, we’ve come to the 365th day of the year again, which is as good a time as any to look back on the previous year.

Of course, we weren’t so happy about Face Painter Phyllis breaking her ankle in the fall, but the surgery was perfect, and she is walking with nary a Frankenstein in her step, except up and down stairs. Yay!

We met so many nice people at birthday parties, and had many, many new corporate, school and church clients this year. And I had the chance to be the balloon artist of the week on the biggest cruise ship in the world, with Face Painter Phyllis as my guest. Business is way up over 2010, and 2010 was pretty darn good. Each year has been the best so far. Again, yay!

The junior partners in our family business are all teenagers now, which brings its own challenges, but is also very cool. All three became black belts in karate in 2011, and each is a fine young person. And again, yay!

It’s not that I (Tony the Balloon Guy) am particularly looking forward to a new year or hoping it will be good – it will. Things keep growing and changing and improving, and the calendar switch from one number to another doesn’t seem that big a deal. Maybe I’m just getting old.

But as the temporal odometer turns over, I’ll take the opportunity to hope that 2012 is a great one for you, Dear Reader. May your relationships be fulfilling, may your health be good, and may prosperity flood in to help you fix your troubles and provide for all your wants and needs.

Have a fun day!

A Sunshine State of Mind with Tony the Balloon Guy and Face Painter Phyllis

Friday, December 30th, 2011

Christmastime in Florida means that a lot of people are visiting from out of state, including a lot of children who are spending the holidays with grandparents.

Since Face Painter Phyllis and I (Tony the Balloon Guy) have weekly restaurant appearances, we get to meet a lot of those kids, and help make their visits more fun. Some families even come back to see us again before they return up north.

It’s a good feeling to be part of someone’s special memories!

Have a fun day!
