When we (Tony the Balloon Guy, Face Painter Phyllis & family) first started in the celebration industry, we took our carousel of six live ponies to schools, churches, festivals, etc., and one or two hand-led ponies to birthday parties.
As the balloon entertainment, magic shows, face painting, and glitter tattoos really took off, and the single-pony parties held steady, the pony carousel kind of got put on the back burner.
And since it’s a lot easier to tote an apron of balloons, a case of magic, and/or a box of paints to an event than to prepare and haul a huge six-armed metal spider and six saddled ponies, we really haven’t minded, or pushed the carousel too much.
But we still have all those pony friends, and the equipment, and they still work from time to time.
Please keep that in mind if your school or church needs something really fun for a fall festival or other event!
Have a fun day!
