During a mid-balloon-sculpture break in the laughter, the young lady said, “You should be a comedian.”

I thought I was!

Friday, May 28th, 2010

We (Tony the Balloon Guy & Face Painter Phyllis) do a lot of repeat business.

We do some big events year after year.

We do jobs for the same companies over and over.

And we do birthday parties for some of the same families, year after year, and even for different children in the same family during the same year.

We’re very grateful to everyone who enjoys what we do enough to keep asking us back!

Have a fun day!

When All Else Fails

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

So, we have no TV reception for.. I dunno… weeks. Something’s broke; the missus & I (Tony the Balloon Guy) can’t fix it.

Not too big a deal, as we’re working evey night, and no time to watch anyway, except a Netflix now & then.

Then Sat morning, the girl kid, age 11, is watching TV.

“How’d you fix it?” I ask.

“I read the directions,” she says.

Horsing Around

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

I (Tony the Balloon Guy) am making a balloon horse for a girl at a restaurant…

GIRL: I ride a horse called Tanner.

ME: That was my mom’s name when she was a horse!

GIRL: Your mom was a horse?

ME: Why would you say something so terrible? Take that back!

Strangely, the restaurant was a Golden Corral.

We don’t have a fan page, but we do have a people page for our business, as “Tony Balloonguy.”

Weeki Wachee Wonders

Monday, May 17th, 2010

I love the area of Weeki Wachee where we (Tony the Balloon Guy & Face Painter Phyllsi) did a party yesterday morning. Older little houses on the river, where the kids had seen manatees and alligators from the backyard during their sleep-over.

Then, of course, I had to make those things out of balloons.

And a mermaid. It WAS Weeki Wachee after all…

Caution: Dinosaur Manicures Ahead

Monday, May 17th, 2010

According to a four-year-old boy that I (Tony the Balloon Guy) made a brontosaurus for:

“If you see a dinosaur, he’ll cut your nails. Then you’ll be sad.”

The Yardstick by Which Balloon Twisters Are Measured

Monday, May 17th, 2010

I (Tony the Balloon Guy) was telling a regular restaurant customer about a party I had come from that day, and she asked if I had been entertaining at such-and-such big event in a nearby town the day before.

No, I told her, I had done a balloon job the day before, but not that one.

“Well,” she said, “someone was there doing balloons, and they were as good as YOU!”

So now I’m the standard? That was sweet!

Have a fun day!
