A Real Jewel

Monday, June 8th, 2009

On Memorial Day weekend, Phyllis the Face Painter and I (Tony the Balloon Guy) had the pleasure of entertaining at the club house of Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto. With old quarries turned into golf courses, this is one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen – and I’ve been all over the world! Well, all over Europe and Australia and America, anyhow.

There were only about four kids there, so we mostly painted and made balloon art for folks our age and up to our parents’ ages. They were so fun! Our thanks for a wonderful day with many kids-at-heart in a beautiful building surrounded by a breathtaking view.

We’re looking forward to coming back!

Ooooh, shiny!

OK, it’s pool party season. Sure, you can have Tony the Balloon Guy at the pool party, but not Phyllis the Face Painter, right?

Not right!

Phyllis does glitter tattoos, which stay on in water, and actually last three or four days! They go on the hand or arm, not on the face, and are made with medical-grade clear glue (made for skin) on which glitter is added through a stencil of some fun shape like a kitty head, a fairy, a Batman symbol, a spider or whatever. When the stencil comes off, a cool, colorful, shiny tattoo remains!

Something fun to think about!

Have a fun day!

Hold the Pancakes!

IHOP has decided that instead of having Tuesday nights as Kids’ Night, EVERY weeknight should be kids’ night! Yay!

Since they can’t have me (Tony the Balloon Guy) there every night, though, they put the balloon entertainment on hold for now until they decide which night would be best. So stay tuned!

You can still go for yummy food any night at IHOP, but there won’t be Tony the Balloon Guy (for now).

And you can still find Tony the Balloon Guy at Golden Corral on Wednesdays, and at Anthony’s Italian Restaurant on Thursdays. For more details…
