The Spice of Life

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008

One of my (Tony the Balloon Guy’s) favorite things about the work we do (balloon entertainment, face painting, pony rides, juggling, magic, etc.) is that we get to meet so many different kinds of people in so many different kinds of situations.

We see the cowboys at rodeos, and the business people at company picnics. We have worked for all kinds of Christian churches, plus Jewish and Muslim groups. We have worked at private schools and public schools. We’ve helped in business promotions and nonprofit events. We have attended birthday and holiday parties in the houses of people from the very, very affluent to those who worked hard and sacrificed to save up the extra money to have us at their parties for their kids.

Every job we work has something special about it that is different from every other, and yet people are so much alike. If you get a chance to spend some time with someone outside your normal circle, especially someone whose culture is different than yours, I recommend it.

Offline and Back

We had so much trouble with our computer lately. Ended up needing a whole new hard drive.

Fortunately, the nice folks at Computer Corrections in Spring Hill were able to save all our data and fix the computer for us. Thanks to them.

Never realized how much we depend on the computer until we didn’t have access to it!

Guess that’s how it is with everything…

Time Flies!

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008

Wow, October and November were crazy times for us – busy, busy, busy. But working is a good thing. Thanks to all who hired us for your celebrations, especially our repeat customers that we work with year after year.

Fall is a great time for festivals and carnivals and rodeos and, yes, birthday parties!

Now Christmas and Hanukkah are upon us. We wish all our friends the happiest of holidays, and great prosperity in the coming year. Don’t listen to the news – things can still go great for YOU!

And remember, if you need face painting, ponies, balloon entertainment, etc., for your event, you know who to call!
